Ktulu is the alias of 21 year old amateur musician Chris Jones. Though a guitarist by trade, Ktulu has recently launched himself into the realm of electronic music production, using what little resources available to express himself in ways not fully possible with his guitar work. His good friend and fellow musician/producer Josh Davidson, aka Sunburn, is responsible for the madness, inspiring Ktulu to break away from his thrash metal guitar compositions from time to time and unleash the pent up insanity in new ways. ELECTRONIC WAYS.

Ktulu combines musical styles of frantic paces, time changes, polyrhythms and complex arrangements, with softer, melodic passages and ambient textures, or at least he attempts to! Ktulu is also an avid whore of the "slow groove." He loves to drop the bpm down to 85 now and then and have you "bump yo head." Ktulu does have interest in using his guitar playing in his electronic songs, though until more proper means of recording are availble to him, he prefers to produce his electronc work solely through the usage of synthesizers.

Interestingly enough, Ktulu has little experience with electronic music, and does not listen to music within the genre nearly as much as others. As such, much of his approach to creating this music is purely experimental. Accordingly, his projects cover a lot of ground and may stray from what you may would typically expect in this genre of music.

Ktulu claims to be nothing more than a guitarist dabbling in electronica to further explore means in which to display musical expression. Creativity is his strong point, and he hopes to provide an interesting look into what an amateur musician is capable of when experimenting in unfamiliar terrority.

I like your songs, they're good, and sorry if i sounded rude in the forum thread, you just put me on the defensive. If you haven't already, take a look at my songs. I don't want us to be enemies or competitors, and heck, with your guitar and my stuff, maybe we could make a kick ass song together. Interested at all?
